This work focuses on development of a finite element model for concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) columns with variable cross-sections, based on existing models in the literatures for straight CFST columns with uniform cross-sections. Two types of cross-sections are considered: rectangular and circular sections. Two loading conditions are considered: axial and eccentric compression. The developed model is verified by comparison with experimental data reported by other authors.
