Identification of thermal parameters by inverse analysis

Some material parameters cannot be directly measured. Instead, indirect determination is used by inverse analysis. In this thesis, thermal parameters such as conductivity and convection coefficient are identified. The inverse analysis is described as an optimization problem, in which design variables are the sought thermal parameters. Objective function is the error between reference temperature values and calculated ones. The meta-heuristic Grey Wolf Optimizer is used for searching the design variables. The proposed model is applicable for both steady-state and transient heat transfer analysis.
