Finite element analysis of reinforced concrete beam with stirrups under bending

This thesis focuses on development of finite element model for reinforced concrete beam with stirrups. The steel rebar and stirrups are modeled by beam elements and are embedded into the concrete solid part. The model is used to study the three-point bending behavior of reinforced concrete beam. Verification is conducted by comparison with experimental results reported in previous works.
